I have been working within the financial advice industry for 24 years and advising for over 22 years.
My experience having lived in, and worked through a number of investment cycles gives me the confidence to advise clients based on my experience within these ever-changing financial markets.
During my career, I have seen significant changes within superannuation legislation and also much government regulatory change.
I had an ideal grounding at Macquarie Private Wealth where I remained for 18 years. I initially teamed with an experienced mentor and soon after built my own client base.
Six years have now flown by since I joined Shaw and Partners. I continue to advise many of the same clients on their share portfolios or superannuation with our relationships now spanning over twenty years.
Increased education standards have recently become a major focus with many advisers now ‘playing catch-up’. I personally have always placed great emphasis on my ongoing professional development and always considered that an Adviser should be as qualified as possible. After all, we are advising on a client’s hard-earned money and decisions made could determine a client’s standard of living and comfort in retirement.
I hold the following qualifications; a Bachelor of Commerce, a Graduate Diploma in Property, and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment. In October 2020, I completed a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning. In 2003, I obtained the accreditation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) globally considered to be the highest designation that a Financial Planner can hold.
